About Talerie
Talerie is a small, carefully tended library of classic fairy tales — the stories of the Brothers Grimm, Hans Christian Andersen, Charles Perrault and other great storytellers, free to read for everyone, with no account and no ads.
Every tale here is in the public domain. We record the provenance of each text — the original edition, the translator, and the copyright basis — and publish nothing whose provenance has not been verified. Where no public-domain translation exists, we translate carefully ourselves and release those translations into the public domain.
Talerie is typeset for real reading: quiet pages, a comfortable reading column, three color themes, and a print style for evenings when a paper copy reads better. The library grows steadily — in six languages.
A gallery of tales, curated with care.
