Autumn coloring pages

Autumn coloring pages follow the season from the orchard to the pumpkin patch: apple picking from a ladder, children raking a pile of leaves while a third jumps in, a scarecrow in the corn, and a squirrel family storing nuts in a tree.

The youngest can start with a single pumpkin on its curly vine, a basket of apples or three mushrooms in the grass, each drawn large with few lines. The wheelbarrow of pumpkins and the pumpkin house with its round door have plenty more to color.

Real fallen leaves make a good palette. Collect a handful on a walk, lay them next to the sheet and try to match their reds, yellows and browns. The branch with maple, oak, chestnut and birch leaves works well for this, since each leaf has a different shape.

From late September through November these sheets fit a classroom table or a rainy weekend. A finished hedgehog with an apple on its spines or an owl on an autumn branch can go up on the fridge or in a window as a small seasonal decoration.
