Christmas coloring pages

The Christmas coloring pages take in the whole season: Santa checking his list and feeding the reindeer, snowmen in scarves, a gingerbread house with a candy cane fence, baubles, a paper chain and a quiet nativity with the shepherds and the three wise men.

For the youngest there is a plump tree with a star, a snowman with a carrot nose, a stocking by the fireplace and several baubles on their own. Older children can take on the village square with its market stalls or the family decorating the tree by the fire.

Christmas reds and greens can look heavy on paper. Try one bright red for Santa and the bows, a darker green for the trees, and leave the snow white. A gold or silver gel pen on the stars and bells is enough to make the sheet look festive.

Some sheets lead to stories that belong to December: the little fir tree among tall firs from Andersen, the Nutcracker holding his sword, and the Little Match Girl under the street lamp. A colored sheet also makes a handmade card for grandparents.
