About this category

Reindeer work hard in December and rest in between, and these reindeer coloring pages show both: pulling a sleigh above snowy rooftops, leaping over three little cottages, lying in the snow while a squirrel offers a carrot, and leaning in to take hay from Santa’s hand.

Simple ones include a baby reindeer sitting in the snow with one ear folded, a reindeer wearing a holly wreath like a collar and a chubby reindeer with a bell. Two reindeer nose to nose, with their antlers interlaced, take more care.

Antlers are easy to lose against a busy background, so color them a little lighter than the body, in tan or beige, and go over the edges with brown. A red nose is optional; a holly wreath in green with red berries adds color without it.

These sheets fit the run-up to Christmas, a class holiday party or the days off school when it is too cold to play outside. They pair well with the Santa and snowman sheets if a child wants to build a whole winter set.
