Nativity coloring pages

These nativity coloring pages tell the Christmas story in pictures: Mary and Joseph kneeling by the manger under a star, the angel above the stable, shepherds arriving with a lamb and a basket, and the three wise men walking in single file with their gifts.

The simple sheets show a manger with a swaddled baby and one big star, a donkey and an ox side by side, and the wise men’s camel in a patterned blanket. The holy family and the wise men in their rich robes have more detail.

Night scenes look best when the sky is colored first in deep blue and the star is left as white paper, so it seems to shine. Straw and wood can be done in yellows and light browns; the wise men’s robes are the place for rich reds, purples and gold.

Printed together, the sheets can be laid out in order on a table or a wall, from the shepherds in the field to the wise men following the star. They fit Advent at home or in Sunday school, with a scene or two colored each week until Christmas.
