Butterfly coloring pages

Butterflies are forgiving because the colours do not have to match reality. There is a butterfly on a single flower, one emerging from its cocoon, a lavender field, a migration over the hills and a greenhouse full of tropical plants.

A butterfly on a single flower is the easiest. The lavender field and the greenhouse have dozens of wings, so it helps to start with one and leave the rest for another day. Wings look best when the left and the right are coloured the same. Most children treat that as a game of precision.
