Dragon coloring pages

The dragon coloring pages give dragons gentle hobbies. One lights birthday candles with a careful puff of flame, another reads a giant book by candlelight, one catches snowflakes on its tongue and one toasts a marshmallow by a campfire.

The youngest can choose from baby dragons: one hatching from a cracked egg, one with a butterfly on its nose, one in a flower crown and two playing tag. The treasure cave, the canyon with waterfalls and the long Chinese dragon have far more detail.

Where scales are drawn, color them in rows rather than one by one: a light color over the whole body first, then a darker shade along the lower edge of each row. Wings look thinner and more see-through in a pale color with darker lines between the ribs.

Dragons work for many occasions: the birthday cake sheet for a party, the scarf and snowflakes for winter, the knight riding a friendly dragon for kids who also love castles. A dragon and a child sharing a picnic is a good rainy afternoon pick.
