About this category

Some of these rabbits sit still and some are on the move: one stands on its hind legs holding a big carrot, one leaps over a log, a mother rests in the doorway of her burrow with her baby, and a whole family sleeps underground while the father keeps watch.

The rabbit sitting in the grass, the big rabbit face and the girl offering a rabbit a lettuce leaf have large, clear shapes for the youngest. The folk rabbit with pomegranates and the two rabbits under the tree of life are packed with leaves and fruit for older children.

Real rabbits are usually brown, gray or white, so pick one soft color for the fur and add a slightly darker shade along the back and at the tips of the ears. Keep the brighter colors for the flowers and scalloped bands on their sides, and a little pink for the inside of the ears.

Children who keep a pet rabbit, or wish they had one, can talk about what rabbits eat and where they sleep, and the boy opening the hutch or the family in the burrow suit that well. These rabbits belong to every season, not only to Easter.
