Horse coloring pages

From the stable to the open plain, the horse coloring pages show a girl brushing her horse’s mane, a horse and rider clearing a fence at a country show, two horses drinking from a mountain stream and a small herd of wild horses running free.

The baby foal taking its first steps, the pony with a flowing mane and the horse wearing a daisy chain are simple, calm figures for younger children. The farm cart loaded with hay and the stable at night are busier scenes for older ones.

Horse coats come in many real colors: chestnut, bay with a black mane and tail, dapple gray, palomino gold. Pick one and color the mane last, with long strokes that follow the way the hair falls, so it looks like it is moving.

Children who ride, or who simply dream about it, often color the same horse again and again in different coats. The horse nuzzling a carrot is a sweet sheet to bring out before a first visit to a farm or a riding stable.
