Thanksgiving coloring pages

The Thanksgiving coloring pages put the whole holiday on paper: a family of four at a round table with a roast bird and a pie, two children rolling out pastry, a horn of plenty spilling fruit and corn, and a scarecrow offering corn to a turkey.

The friendly turkey with a fan tail, a slice of pumpkin pie, two ears of corn and the acorns with an oak leaf are drawn large with thick lines for little ones. The harvest basket and the family dinner have more small shapes.

The turkey’s tail is the natural place for color. Give each of the fan feathers its own fall shade, from red and orange to gold and brown. Indian corn looks real with kernels in mixed colors, purple and red and yellow side by side.

The thankful turkey holds a blank sign that a child can fill in with something they are grateful for. Printed on the morning of Thanksgiving, these sheets also keep the kids’ table busy while the grown-ups finish cooking.
