About this category

These spring coloring pages head outdoors: a girl in a raincoat and boots jumping into a puddle, two children flying a kite across a meadow, a mother duck leading her ducklings past water lilies, and a hedgehog walking among crocuses and snowdrops.

For the youngest there are tulips and daffodils, a woolly lamb among daisies, a bee beside one tall flower and a snail with a flower on its shell, each one a big shape with thick outlines. The kite, the puddle and the duck pond are busier, with plenty of small pieces for older kids.

Spring colors are soft, so try light greens, butter yellow and pale pink, and save one bright color for the tulips or the raincoat. Leave the raindrops as bare paper and shade just the sky between them, or add a few drops of your own falling into the puddle.

From March through May these pages work well in a classroom, before a walk to spot the same flowers outdoors, or on a rainy afternoon at home. The watering can and the bird on its blossoming branch can be folded into a Mother’s Day card.
