Soccer coloring pages

These soccer coloring pages stay close to home: a boy and a girl racing after the ball beside an apple tree, a penalty kick at a little goal in the garden, three teammates cheering with the ball held high, and a girl leaping to head the ball.

For toddlers there are big, clear shapes: a ball lying in the meadow, a pair of cleats with their laces tied in bows, a trophy cup and a puppy nudging the ball with its nose. The garden and orchard scenes have more small pieces for older kids.

A soccer ball is easiest in two tones. Pick one dark color and one light one, and switch between them from patch to patch. Give the three cheering boys the same sweater color and they suddenly look like one team. The grass goes fastest with a green crayon held on its side.

The pages suit a rainy afternoon before practice, a soccer birthday party or a class that has just played a match at recess. The fox and the puppy are a gentle start for kids who like animals more than the game.
