About this category
These pumpkin coloring pages follow pumpkins from the patch to the porch: a wheelbarrow heaped with them, a cart by the barn, a carved jack-o’-lantern on the doorstep, and a giant pumpkin turned into a house with shutters and a chimney.
The youngest can color a single pumpkin with a curly vine, a stack of three or a smiling jack-o’-lantern, all with thick lines. The pumpkin patch at dusk with a scarecrow and bats and the mouse asleep inside a hollow pumpkin have more detail.
Pumpkins have ribs, and coloring each section with a slightly darker edge makes them look round. Use a light orange over the whole thing, then a deeper orange or a touch of brown along the grooves. Stems look best in a dull green or brown.
Some of them belong to Halloween, with a black cat on a pumpkin or a spider web stretched between two, and some just to the harvest, like the barn and the wheelbarrow, which carry on into Thanksgiving.
